FREE!! Trust, Deter, Defend: The March of U.S. Naval Forces Europe & Africa
The NAVEUR NAVAF March was commissioned by Admiral Stuart Munsch as the official march of US Naval Forces Europe and Africa. Inspired by British and American marches of the mid-20th century, this piece follows a similar form but with modern harmonies and orchestrations. The elements of modern naval warfare (surface, subsurface, air, land, and cyber warfare) are represented in this piece and hidden throughout are quotes of Anchors Aweigh, The Marines' Hymn, and the Italian National Anthem as the NAVEUR NAVAF headquarters are in Naples, Italy. Brassy fanfares, flourishing woodwinds, and a foot-lifting percussion cadence are sure to start (or end) your concert with a bang!
Includes Program Notes, Bios, Conductor’s Score, and Parts.
