“Lightning Strikes Again” was composed by Brian Sadler (b. 1982) and commissioned by a consortium of trombonists from around the U.S. and Austria, led by John Ohnstad. The title hints at the success of the composer’s previous solo, aiming to capture the same electric energy and showcase the instrument's unique capabilities.
